Why do you want to become an egg donor?
I love and have always loved children. I would love to give the gift of a child to a family or individual who could not provide the means to produce one on their own. There are so many sad and hurting children in this world, I would only want to donate to a family or individual who will support and love that child, something your clients seem to all poses. I have seen the joy children can bring to a family, relationship, and individual, and I would be honored to be a apart of giving that joy. I do want to have children of my own in the future and am slightly concerned about the risks to my fertility after donating. However, I know if I were in a situation where I could not have a child, I would lean on the generosity of others to support me in that process.

Anything special you'd like to tell us about you?
I was raised Christian and was homeschooled with my four brothers and sisters up until college. When I went to college, it really opened my eyes to the world and taught me that acceptance is a much better option than trying to make people behave a certain way or believe a certain thing. I am so thankful for my college experience and that I can now see and appreciate others for who they are

-
What is the one change you wish to see in the world?
In my lifetime, I would love to see the world be a place of acceptance with equality for every person.
-
What would you consider to your greatest strengths?
I think one of my biggest strengths is my compassion and empathy for others. I feed off of other people's energy, so when someone is feeling down, upset, or hurt, I do whatever I can to support them through that. Also, I am an extremely hard worker. I have held a job since I was 16. I worked three different jobs all throughout college and while living at home after graduation, I worked every day, alternating between my three jobs. Working hard, having empathy, and staying positive come naturally to me.

What is your favorite dish to consume?
I love all types of food but some authentic street tacos are one of my all time favorites.

What is something you've accomplished in life that you are most proud of?
I moved to Tampa July 2019. When I started my paraprofessional position with the deaf program in Hillsborough County, I made a goal for myself to become a teacher by the start of the next school year, 2020-2021, and I did it. In January 2020, I began my deaf education courses online at the University of North Florida while continuing with my paraprofessional position. In March 2020, the Covid-19 school shut downs started. I was focused to switch my position into an online learning format which is extreme difficult for support staff, but we made it through to the end of the semester. In the summer of 2020, in the heart of the pandemic, I took two online courses, studied and passed my Florida teaching certificate exams. By August 2020, I was a certified teacher of the deaf and beginning my first semester teaching while taking my final deaf education courses. I set out on my goal and completed it even with the added stress and unknowns of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Describe your own personality to us
I would say I am someone who takes time to open up, but when I do open up, you get all of me. I am a fun time, as I mentioned earlier, karaoke is where I really shine. I am compassionate and empathetic. I am driven in my goals and in the goals of those around me. I push my friends to pursue their goals. I am a supporter of those I care about and love to see them succeed, even more than seeing myself succeed. I am a people pleaser, so I will do most of anything to make others happy, sometimes causing my needs to be less important. Overall, I would say I am a fun, energetic girl who loves her friends and life itself.

Who are you closest to in your family and why?
I am closest to my little brother because we were the closest in age, 2 year difference, so we grew up together. Now that were older, we've stayed the closet as well.

What was the defining moment that made you choose your field of study/career path?
I was in my "Learn Your Program," one credit, freshmen year course, when I learned about special education being a potential option for me. I then signed up for a special education class the following semester and fell in love. Being the compassionate person I am, I felt like this was a field I could really make a difference in and enjoy. I am very happy in the position I'm in now and am so glad I pursued special education.

If you could tell the intended parents who are considering you one thing, what would it be?
Hi potential intended parents, I am so excited that you have chosen to go on this journey to build your family. I would love to be a part of helping you get there. I come from a family of seven and loved every part of growing up with siblings and having that real family connection, something I hope for your future family. I hope you can find the donor that will work best for your situation. If that donor is me, lets do this thing! And if you find someone that's a better fit, I wish you all the best with your future family!

With everything that's been happening, I have no idea when I'll be able to make these trips, but definitely within my lifetime!

"You are more than where you are," This was something one of my college professors said on one of our last day of classes. I have always looked forward and longed to be a different places. This quote helps me stay grounded and appreciate who I am more than where I am.
