Why do you want to become an egg donor?
I have donated once before, and it was a very rewarding experience. I was able to learn and acquire so much knowledge throughout the whole donating process. These types of things strike my interest, as I have always had a passion to help others in any way that I am able. Being a nursing major it made the whole experience more surreal. Before I donated the first time, I had already given birth to a full term, healthy baby. We didn’t have trouble getting pregnant, and I know the difficulties so many woman face trying to become pregnant and produce healthy children; it truly saddens me that not everyone is able to experience this and knowing I am healthy and able I want to help as many families I can to achieve this.

Jesus, my child, my husband, my siblings, my parents and extended family. They play a pivotal role in my everyday life, and I couldn’t be more grateful for each one of them and everything they do for me.

What are your special talents?
I love to sing, and plan events. The two don’t necessarily coincide with on another, but I believe I’m fairly good at both. I sing in my church’s praise team, and I use to sing the star spangled banner at livestock events. Singing in the car doesn’t really count, but every chance I get to sing at the top of my lungs I will do so. Event planning become a big interest of mine when I wanted plan my own baby shower, knowing that’s not how it’s supposed to work I knew I needed to add my input so it would have my own special touch. Since then I will volunteer to help plan events for my friends and family within my means.

What is the one change you wish to see in the world?
If I could see one change in the world , it would be to end human trafficking. I believe this is one of the sickest, most twisted and demented things we are living amongst on this planet. Being a mother I feel as though this topic hits me a little harder. I couldn’t imagine having my child taken from me and put there that atrocious misery. The suffering that these people go through is unfathomable, I wish I had more of an impact to help put stop to this.
-
What would you consider to your greatest strengths?
Some of my greatest strengths are empathy and independence. I can sympathize for just about anyone. This may also be a weakness, but I think this makes me see things in a brighter light and give a different perspective to things. I have always been peer self sufficient and independent. I don’t like to ask for help, when it’s not absolutely needed. When I know I can do something myself , I will do it. Now that I am a stay at home mom, I have had to learn that it is okay to depend on others, when you are putting your child before any of your needs.
-
What is your favorite dish to consume?
Mexican food is a household favorite for my family. I could eat Mexican food seven days a week, and it doesn’t matter what it is, most likely I will enjoy it.

What is something you've accomplished in life that you are most proud of?
Something I have accomplished in life that I am most proud of would be, being a good mom. I always want my child to know I am always going to be there for them, whether that be I’m a text or phone call away or they just need a hug. I am trying to break cycles from how I grew up, not that I had a bad childhood, (I had an amazing childhood) but I am learning to give more grace and have patience throughout my parenting journey . I strive to be the best mom to my child everyday and I am proud of that!

What is a book you love?
My favorite book of all time is “Redeeming Love” by Francine Rivers. This book shows what unconditional love looks like through a humans eyes. It is a Christian based book, so other than the Bible it portrays no matter how far gone you think you are, you are worthy of unconditional love.
-
How would other people describe you?
Other people would probably describe me as quiet, kind, and goofy. It takes me a while to open up to people so I may come off as shy, but my friends know that as soon as I do open up I like to joke around and be silly.
-
Describe your own personality to us
I would describe my personality as loyal, strong willed, and fun. I will remain loyal until the day I die to those who are deserving of it and if I want something I am going to put my heart and soul into it to get it. Of course I like to have fun with my friends and family , I feel most comfortable around them and am able to show my goofy side around them.

Who are you closest to in your family and why?
In my family I am closest to my third oldest sister. We have a 10 year age gap, and I believe that actually made us closer once I got older. She guides me through my struggles and encourages me through challenges that I face daily. I can always count on her to tell me the hard truth, but also uplift me when I need it the most.

What was the defining moment that made you choose your field of study/career path?
Originally I went to college to become a veterinarian, and then quickly realized that I wasn’t all in. The more classes I took the more I knew that wasn’t what was going to peak my interest. Then I transferred into fire academy and I loved the routine, the rigorous working out, and the challenging experiences I faced and would face, but like I said before I become pregnant quickly after graduation and knew that career would be practical for my lifestyle. I have always known I wanted to help people and becoming a mom made me pretty self aware and how much I could juggle. I had talked to some of my family and friends about nursing school and I learned there are so many different niches in that field of work. I like knowing I won’t be stuck in one path for forever and have a lot of different options.

If you could tell the intended parents who are considering you one thing, what would it be?
I would tell the intended parents who are considering me to trust their gut. No matter what they are the parents and know who and what is best for their family’s dynamic. Follow you intuition throughout this journey, and have a support system that encourages this process.

My favorite words to live by are “it is what it is”. Although these words didn’t click instantly into my way of thinking, the more I realized to let go they became easier to live by. People are going to do what they want no matter where they are in life. You cannot although other peoples actions to define how you feel about yourself, because “it is what it is”.
