Why do you want to become an egg donor?
When I started my nursing career, I worked the Women's Health Unit (postpartum/L&D). I saw every type of parent through one of life's most vulnerable moments. I don't think any of the parents I worked with knew what they were doing. Whether they had tried for years and planned every detail or this was all completely unexpected, they all came into parenthood completely lost. There was unity in that, and there was always a magic in the room when a baby would be born and I'd get to say "happy birthday, welcome to the world." In that moment, amid the complete bewilderment and unpreparedness in their eyes, I could see so clearly the parents that were born to be parents. I know it's not always easy to get to that delivery room and there are parents born to be parents that have a million reasons they may need donors or surrogates along the way and I want to be a part of that. I want to help parents born to be parents have the opportunity get to feel complete simultaneous joy and bewilderment as they welcome their baby into the world.

Anything special you'd like to tell us about you?
I'm a basic girl who loves iced coffee and going on long walks. I love jamming to music with my windows rolled down and when I use machines at the gym, I like to leave it locked in at one weight higher than I used to inspire the next person. I graduated from the top high school in my state, graduated from one of the top nursing programs in the nation, and got my Master's from one of the top 50 nursing schools in the world (so I'm an undercover nerd). In my free time I like to travel as much as I can. I love my friends and family and am always game for an adventure

Who are the most important people in your life?
My mom and dad. Is it lame to say they are my best friends? Well them and my actual best friend who's been my ride or die since I was 3. These are the people that are my first call always.
-
What are your special talents?
I can touch my tongue to my nose (does that count?). I'm great with memorizing song lyrics (and pulling them out of nowhere decades later). I can play the violin (I used to be pretty decent, but I'd need to dust it off) and my newest skill is being able to keep a plant alive.
-
What is the one change you wish to see in the world?
Right now, there are about a million things I would like to change, but if I were to sum it up, I'd say I would like to see the world be more loving, both of each other and of the earth itself.
-
What would you consider to your greatest strengths?
The strengths I'm proudest of are my loyalty and determination. It's debatable if my sarcasm is a strength or a weakness.
-
What is your favorite dish to consume?
I could live off of chips and queso. I mean everything else on the menu is good with me, but I'm convinced every meal is better when it starts with this.
-
What is something you've accomplished in life that you are most proud of?
I set a goal to see all continents by the time I turn 30 and I'm one away (with plans to visit soon).
-
What is a book you love?
Pride and Prejudice (when I'm trying to sound smart and also because who can't relate to one of the Bennett sisters) and Anxious People (when I think of what got me back into reading).
-
How would other people describe you?
Adventurous, strong willed, and compassionate.
-

I'm an extroverted introvert. I love spending time with people, but equally love re-charging by myself. I am sarcastic and honest (sometimes to a fault). I care deeply love easily.

Happy Place by Emily Henry, Vanderbilt by Anderson Cooper, and I'm listening to Normal People by Sally Rooney.
-
Who are you closest to in your family and why?
Probably my dad. When I was little, it was my mom, but as I've grown up I think my dad and I have similar senses of humor and drive for adventure.
-
What was the defining moment that made you choose your field of study/career path?
When I was a Junior in high school, I had an internship shadowing a night nurse in the NICU. There I learned how badass nurses are. They run the show. Beyond that though, they are the ones there for the in-between moments-truly getting to know the patients to better advocate for them. That's when I knew that's what I wanted to do....well that and growing up watching Scrubs and M*A*S*H.

If you could tell the intended parents who are considering you one thing, what would it be?
I don't know what's brought you to egg donation, but I am so glad you found me. I am honored that you see some of yourself in me. Thank you--for reading through my profile and considering putting trust in me. Your baby is so so lucky to have a parent/parents bringing them from a dream to this world.

I haven't travelled everywhere, but it's on my list. I'll start with a safari in Tanzania though. Then I'd like to visit the Arctic Circle before trying to cover as much of China as possible.
