Why do you want to become an egg donor?
I have wanted to donate eggs for quite a long time. In my early 20's I worked at Seattle Reproductive Medicine as a receptionist and medical record tech. I saw first hand the struggles that our clients went through when trying to conceive and the impact that it had on them as individuals and as a couple. I would love the opportunity to help couples create the families they've always dreamed of having. I feel that it's a very small personal "sacrifice" to contribute to the happiness of others and that if a couple feels that my eggs would be a good fit for them, I'll be ecstatic to help.

Anything special you'd like to tell us about you?
I was born in Las Vegas, NV but my family moved to Washington when I was in elementary school. I am the oldest of three siblings, I have a younger brother & sister. In high school I enjoyed playing soccer, running cross country and track, being involved in student government, and hanging out with my friends & family. I moved to Seattle from Eastern WA for college where I attended community college and then pursued nursing at Seattle University. I graduated in 2017 and have worked on a variety of different hospital floors including, post-op surgery, telemetry, and critical care. I got married in 2021 and live in a beautiful house north of Seattle with my husband and our two fur babies, Gizmo (german shepherd mix) and Harlow (Australian shepherd mix). I enjoy being active, doing puzzles, spending time with my friends/family, and playing with my dogs.

Who are the most important people in your life?
I am incredibly blessed to have a wonderful partner, a loving family, and amazing friends. It's hard to single only a couple people out from that group, but I would say that my husband Stephan, my parents, and my mother-in-law are the most important people in my life. They are all encouraging, supportive, and push me to continue to grow as a person.
-
What are your special talents?
I come from a family of marathoners/triathletes. I have ran 3 marathons, including the Boston Marathon and really enjoy being active in general. More recently, I have gotten into weight lifting and spinning. I am also very interested in nutrition and health and I like making workout/nutrition plans for myself. I'm also a great baker and cook. I am incredibly dedicated and driven, if I want to learn or achieve something, I will.

What is the one change you wish to see in the world?
I would love to see a change in our healthcare system. Right now healthcare is so focused on turning a profit and reacting to disease processes versus caring for people, their individual needs, and preventing chronic health conditions. We are one of the richest countries in the world, yet we are also one of the sickest.
-
What would you consider to your greatest strengths?
I am determined, driven, and motivated - when I set my sights on a goal, I will complete it. I am also insightful/intuitive as well as open minded. I like to be challenged to grow, both in my personal and professional life and am interested in hearing prospectives that are different from my own.
-
What is your favorite dish to consume?
I love sushi - particularly spicy tuna rolls and salmon avocado rolls. Although, my husband makes a mean ribeye and that is probably tied with sushi as my favorite.
-
What is something you've accomplished in life that you are most proud of?
I'm proud of my career, I worked very hard and had to sacrifice a lot to get where I am now. I'm also proud of myself & my husband for working our butts off to buy our first home together in 2020 and to embark on updating/renovating it. It has not been an easy road but we love our home and are very proud of how far it's come in such a short time.
-
What is a book you love?
In my adult life, one of my favorite books has been Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn. But I will always have a place in my heart for the Harry Potter series and I still enjoy re-reading it.
-
How would other people describe you?
I think other people would describe me as funny, sarcastic, motivated/driven, intuitive, friendly, helpful, caring, and compassionate.
-
Describe your own personality to us
I would also describe myself as funny and sarcastic. I love to laugh and to make others laugh. I'm a team player, I like to be helpful/useful. I'm definitely driven and goal oriented. I'm also friendly and caring, I love working with other people. I'm loving, thoughtful, and loyal to friends & family. I also like to learn and seek out opportunities to be challenged and expand my knowledge.
-
Who are you closest to in your family and why?
I am probably closest to my mom. We text everyday - we like to do Wordl together. My mom and I are very different people, she's quiet, sensitive, and emotional whereas I tend to be more extroverted, logical, and blunt. I appreciate her perspective and advice because it's often from a angle that I haven't considered. She's also incredibly smart, driven, open, and is always working on a project or new skill. She inspires me to continue to grow as an individual. As an adult, I've been enjoying getting to know her better as a person versus just knowing her as my mom.

What was the defining moment that made you choose your field of study/career path?
I knew that I wanted a job that involved science, people, and not sitting at a desk. Nursing was suggested to me by my best friend (who is also a nurse) and I thought that it might be a good fit. As I started taking nursing classes, I continued to feel that way. But it wasn't until I got a job as a nursing assistant in the hospital that I really knew that this was the right career choice for me. I enjoyed working with the patients and having the knowledge/ability to provide guidance, reassurance, and support during possibly the worst period of time in their lives. The variety, continued learning, and ability to interact with and help people from all different backgrounds are also aspects of my career that I noticed early on and are some of the things that I value most in this profession.

If you could tell the intended parents who are considering you one thing, what would it be?
I would want to tell the parents that I feel humbled and excited that they would consider my eggs as something that would be a stepping stone towards creating the life and family they've always dreamed of. I would also want them to know that even if they don't end up choosing me, that I hope that they find what they're looking for in someone else. This is a life changing decision and I wish them happiness and hopefulness through out this journey of becoming parents.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
I see myself happy and content with my life. I'm definitely a planner but if life has taught me anything, it's that plans rarely go as planned. I hope to still being enjoying my job, and I plan to get my CNOR in the coming years. I see myself traveling and spending time with my friends & family. My husband and I would like to move somewhere sunnier so I picture us in a cute house in Bend, OR or in Northern California.
