Why do you want to become an egg donor?
I want to become an egg donor because I would absolutely love to be able to help a family that is unable to conceive a child, grow their family. I am still young, and at this moment in my life I am unsure if I want to be a mother myself. Family is one of the most important aspects of my life and it would be a beautiful process to be able to help another family grow theirs.

Who are the most important people in your life?
The most important people in my life are my grandpa, my parents/sibling, and my best friends. I value my grandpa because he is incredibly insightful about the world and loves to share his life experiences with me. He is one of the only people that has pushed me to further my education by applying to graduate school. He is selfless and enjoys every single moment of life itself and its beautiful having him as a role model. My parents and siblings are important in my life because they are a major support system for me. My parents are married still and are madly in love. My sister and I have turned into best friends over the last couple years. And last but not least, my best friends. My best friends are family to me, I trust them with my life and they are a huge support system in my life. My best friends are empowering, beautiful, and wildly intelligent beings and influence me to be the best version of myself everyday.

What are your special talents?
I would say a special talent of mine is that I am extremely personable. I am able to connect with almost any person I meet in life. I love forming connections with people and learning about their passions, experiences, and perspectives about the world. This 'special' talent has brought many opportunities to my life. Another special talent would be that I make handmade jewelry, specifically earrings. I am self-taught and have been growing a small business for the last year selling the earrings I create.

What is the one change you wish to see in the world?
One change I wish to see in the world is more compassion for others. I would love to see more people caring for others. This in hope, would turn into world peace. On a smaller scale, I hope to see mental health become less taboo in our society. I am working towards a masters in mental health counseling and have learned that access to affordable mental health resources is an extreme necessity amongst all age groups. I hope to help change the culture of mental health and make it more normalized and accepted in our society.

What would you consider to your greatest strengths?
One of my greatest strengths is that I am personable. I had already mentioned above that it was one of my special talents. But I like to call it one of my 'super powers'. Everyday I practice how I can be more accepting towards others and create a safe space for anyone to feel comfortable being their true authentic selves.

What is your favorite dish to consume?
My favorite dish hands down is mac and cheese.

What is something you've accomplished in life that you are most proud of?
After I graduated college, I had a rough transition into the 'real world'. I ended up struggling with anxiety and I was unable to find happiness in the present moment. I trust myself deeply with making decisions, even if I am at a low point in my life. I thrive the most when I am challenging myself to be my authentic and raw self. This is when I made the decision to move abroad to Vietnam for 6 months. I would soon realize that this was one of the best decisions I had ever made. I moved across the world by myself and was able to make a life for myself, build a circle of friends, overcome my anxieties, and learn deeply about another culture. This opened up a great amount of opportunities for me on a personal level and professional level when I was living in Vietnam and once I returned to the United States.

Who are you closest to in your family and why?
I am closest to my Dad because over the last couple years as I have gotten older, he has really shown an interest in learning about my life and who I am as a person. I would say for most of my teenage/college years both of my parents were more detached. But as I have gotten older and found my groove and passions in the world, my dad has enjoyed learning about who I am. This has made us a lot closer because even though we have different political views, etc. he is so accepting of who I am as a person. I value that our relationship has only gotten stronger over the years.

What was the defining moment that made you choose your field of study/career path?
I had two defining moments that guided me to my career path. I am currently in the process for applying to graduate school to become a mental health counselor. The first defining moment was when I was pursuing my bachelor degree. I was a volunteer at a summer camp with children that had parents affected by cancer. This was an incredibly rewarding experience for me because I love working with children, specifically adolescents. I was able to connect and be a supportive mentor for many of them, and this showed me my strength and passion for working with this age group. And my second moment that I had was at my most recent job, I was a direct care counselor at an intensive residential treatment center. I worked with adolescent females that were in the foster care system. During my shift I was able to create a safe environment to talk about self harm, mental health, and suicidality, either one-on-one or in a group conversation with the girls. This is where I thrived and my passion was through the roof. So those are two of the main experiences that led me to pursue a graduate degree in mental health counseling!

If you could tell the intended parents who are considering you one thing, what would it be?
I would tell the intended parents that I am a loving person with a heart for helping others feel comfortable and confident within themselves.

Places you'd love to travel
I would love to move to Asia again during my lifetime. My next place on my list to travel to is Japan and South Korea!

What are your favorite words to live by?
Trust the timing. This quote is important to my life because I used to try and plan out my entire life, and in reality, you can't. Life throws you curveballs and learning to accept them while also understanding that failures and new opportunities put you on the path you are supposed to be on.

Sports/Dance/Hobbies you enjoy
The artsy side of me enjoys making jewelry, pottery, painting, and poems. As I have gotten older I have grown to love time alone and having an outlet to express my emotions. I have found this through creating art and reading poetry. Sometimes I will throw in the occasional podcast or two. The social side of me loves going to indie/folk/rock concerts with my friends. I have so much fun letting out energy through dancing and singing. Music is a universal language and I love meeting new people at events and getting to know who they are and having the common bond of music. The active side of me likes to take small hikes to beautiful views- my favorites are waterfalls and the beach. I played soccer through out high school (although I was not the best, I received the 'happy go lucky' award at the end of each season. ) I enjoy yoga and meditation and regularly incorporate them into my week. And last but not least, I absolutely love traveling. This has became one of my favorite hobbies as I have gotten older. I love seeing other parts of the world and experiencing another culture besides my own. I have had the opportunity to travel to 22 countries through out my life, all of which happened during/post college. Traveling is SO important because it adds another type of awareness to the way you view life. I have learned a lot about how other countries view women's rights in particular. This has challenged my views immensely on how people view human rights and made me incredibly blessed for the freedom I have.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
In regards to my career, I see myself receiving my graduate degree and becoming a clinical mental health counselor for adolescent women. Once I have established my counseling practice, I would love to open a non-profit working with adolescent women and focusing on mental health, education, and empowerment. As for family, I see myself becoming a foster mom for several children. I have worked in social services for over 6 years and I have seen the corruption of the foster care system. I would love to be able to provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment to foster a few children so they can grow up and build a successful life for themselves. I am unsure if I want my own children at the moment. I see myself settling down into a quaint one-story home in the Portland area and having several foster kitties and maybe a cute ferret.
