Why do you want to become an egg donor?
Being able to help deserving people become parents is such an honor. I get to be apart of something that is so much bigger and more important than myself. Furthering my education after high school wasn’t ever part of my plan. My career goal was to become a mother and raise a family. That is all that I have ever wanted. Between my husband and I, we have four children. I would have all of the babies if it was solely up to me, but as of now our family is complete. Now I hope to help as many families as I am allowed to.

Who are the most important people in your life?
My husband, children, and mom are the most important people in my life. My husband is my rock. He has always supported every decision I have made for myself. He truly is my better half. My children have taught me so much more than I ever imagined possible. They have shown me how to forgive without question, love unconditionally, and to never to take life too seriously. I don’t know who I would be without them. I am very close to my mom who is truly my greatest inspiration. Hearing about where she came from, what she has gone through, and seeing where she is today makes me unbelievably proud to be her daughter. She would do anything and everything for anyone. She raised five children of her own, two step daughters, and two of her grandchildren. She went on to foster-to-adopt three children in 2017 and then a baby boy in 2019. Seeing all that she has done for others is a major reason why I feel so passionate about helping deserving people become parents.

What are your special talents?
I really enjoy event planning - I have thrown baby showers, gender reveal parties, graduation parties, and many birthday parties for family and friends over the years. I love helping make someone’s celebration stress-free while helping to recreate their vision for the event. I can definitely see myself pursuing a career in party planning once my children are grown.

What is the one change you wish to see in the world?
Now that I have had a little sneak peak into the cost to Intended Parents, I would love to see adoption and assisted reproductive technology to be a more affordable option. There are so many deserving people who are unable to have children because the cost of something that comes naturally for others is just too expensive for those that are unable without assistance.

What would you consider to your greatest strengths?
I am creative, organized, empathetic, and open-minded. As a stay at home mom for almost four years, I have had to stay creative to come up with fun ideas that keep the kids busy. I also find it extremely important to be organized. We are a family of six with children from the age of two to twelve. I couldn’t imagine trying to get by being unorganized. Being empathetic, it is very important to me to try and understand situations from other people’s perspectives. Remaining open-minded has helped me to grow as a person. I try to stay open to new ideas and experience at all times.

What is your favorite dish to consume?
My favorite food is lasagna! Specifically my mom’s lasagna. Add a side salad with ranch and butter bread and I am in Heaven! Well, now I’m hungry.

What is something you've accomplished in life that you are most proud of?
Doing a surrogacy journey is something I am very proud of. I had never personally met another surrogate prior, but I knew it was something that I wanted to do once I started researching. I chose to help bring life into this world and complete a family. I don’t think I’ll ever do anything more important in my life.

What is a book you love?
Can I say the Harry Potter series? My husband has always been a major Potter-head and he finally convinced me to read the books a couple of years ago. I loved them so much, it was our family Halloween costume in 2020. You should have seen my Dumbledore beard.

How would other people describe you?
I am definitely a bit shy when I first meet someone. It never takes me too long to get comfortable though. I really enjoy making others laugh. I try not to take life too seriously. I am open minded and curious. I don’t like to stay mad, so I forgive easily, but I can definitely be hard headed occasionally. I like to stay busy and don’t usually sit still for long. I am a bit of a neat freak and love organization.

Describe your own personality to us
Well, I went ahead and asked a couple of my friends how they would describe me. They said I am loyal, reliable, goofy, caring, and witty.

Books you are currently reading
I just started reading ‘Ugly Love’ because a friend of mine gifted it to me!

Who are you closest to in your family and why?
I am definitely the closest with my little sister, Holly. She is seven years younger than me and my dad’s youngest daughter. Growing up we were never that close because of our age gap, but now she is one of my very best friends. I know that I can count on her for absolutely anything and she can expect the same of me. She is “The Fun Aunt” to my children and overall a blast to be around. When we’re together, we normally have a horror movie night or spend the evening bowling. Although I should probably admit that I rarely bowl over a 100!
-
What was the defining moment that made you choose your field of study/career path?
I have always known that I wanted to be a mother and that was most important to me. I came from a big family and wanted that as well.
-
If you could tell the intended parents who are considering you one thing, what would it be?
I would say, even if you decide to go with someone else’s eggs, I am so glad that you are getting the opportunity to receive life’s most beautiful gift! Being a parent is an absolute treasure and I am oh so happy for you!

Places you'd love to travel
I think our next two kid-free vacations will be to a cabin in Colorado in the winter and to Nashville, Tennessee in the summer! It would be a total dream to be able to travel to Maui one day.

What are your favorite words to live by?
“Everything you want is on the other side of fear.” Growing up, I worried that if I failed at something, it would be more embarrassing than if I just didn’t try at all. Later in high school, I learned that if you never try then you will never know if you can do it. I still struggle with being a bit reserved at first, but I try not to allow my fears to stop me from going after what I want.

Sports/Dance/Hobbies you enjoy
In high school I was on the Quiz Bowl team and did Color Guard for the band. As an adult, I absolutely love crafting! I am often creating decor for our home and as gifts for others. I enjoy going to concerts, camping, and bowling. My two littles are brand representatives for a couple of small shops, so I also enjoy taking their photographs and advertising to help grow the shop.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
In ten years our oldest will be 22! I could be a grandma! That’s crazy to think about. I hope to have a small business in event planning or decorating. My husband and I have talked about fostering once our children are mostly grown. It is something that is close to my heart because of my mom. We will have hopefully moved to a home with a bit more land. I also would love to be able to rescue a few more animals.
