Why do you want to become an egg donor?
Honestly, being able to give the gift of life is feels like the most selfless act that I can ever do that will help in ways that not even I can fully understand. Through this experience, the people I will meet, and the families I can help out bring me so much joy. By making this decision, I can provide prolonged-lasting happiness for others.

Anything special you'd like to tell us about you?
At this time I'm a full-time student at Georgia State. In addition to being a nursing student, I'm also an electrologist student, and I will gain my certification in this field in August of 2021. I'm an active volunteer at a children's shelter where I help organize academic projects and activities, assist with snack time, cleaning, and restroom breaks. Lastly, I'm the sole owner of my business. I definitely had an amazing childhood, not just with the great birthdays, holidays, and vacation trips, but the unconditional love I received from my parents cannot be put into words. My parents had me in college and they both stepped up to the plate of being what a parent is, outside of financially supporting me. Green is definitely my favorite color! To me, green symbolizes the color of life and of the Earth. Green is the color of peace and hope, balance, and harmony.

Who are the most important people in your life?
The most important people in my life are my father, mother, younger sisters, both sets of grandparents, both best friends, my boyfriend, and of course God above all.
-
What are your special talents?
My hidden talent is my ability to play the piano. I've played the piano since I was in 2nd grade, and I am now in my second year of college! My not-so-hidden talent is my love for food and creativity in the kitchen. I absolutely love creating new dishes and adding my own twist.

What is the one change you wish to see in the world?
Being that I'm fairly young...19 years old to be exact, one thing that I wish I would have done differently in high school is lived life more freely. When I use the term freely, I do not mean it in a wild manner. In today's society there is already a reconstructed idea of what beauty is, set ways how to live life, which standards are valid. I wish I would have been more open to who I was, my idea of beauty, what way I wanted to live life at an earlier age. Although I now have reconstructed my way of thinking and I live my life for me and what feels right to me, I believe that many things could have had different outcomes. To put it into the simplest terms, I would love for the people to be more accepting of other's. As simple as this wish is...I truly believe it would eliminate many people's negative thoughts and actions.

What would you consider to your greatest strengths?
As ironic as this may sound, one of my greatest strengths is my unfulfilled desire to experience and explore. Considering that there is so much knowledge that I have not discovered, countries explored, relationships built, ignites the passion in my desire to live this thing called life. Not to say that I'm ungrateful with my life, but when it comes to life, I never want to feel content with mediocre things that fulfill people's idea of happiness nowadays. I also am extremely skilled in writing abilities and my ability to work effectively with many different people.

What is your favorite dish to consume?
I know this question asks about one dish, but I cannot help but to name two. My two absolute favorite dishes to chow down on are my Nana's (my mother's mom) homemade Gumbo and Cacio e Pepe. Cacio e Pepe, which is Italian, and only consists of noodles, Pecorino Romano, butter, and spices. While the ingredients are simple, the actual making of it is not. Gumbo is a heavily seasoned soup made with crab legs, shrimp, chicken, andouille sausage, okra, corn, and rice. She makes her Gumbo from scratch which makes it all the more flavorful.

What is something you've accomplished in life that you are most proud of?
Last May I took a risk by leaving my job and turning the work I was doing into a legitimate business. Of course in the beginning I had feelings of doubt..I also believed that it would only go so far but I surprised myself so much with how well I was able to adapt to being my own boss while also switching hats to the social media marketer, to the accountant, and many more roles I had to play simultaneously. Last October my business was recognized by Voyage ATL. This shocked me so much because I never thought that my shop would gain so much attention and support. This moment made me realize that the cliche saying, "Anything is possible" really holds truth to it. No matter what obstacles may lie in your way, whether they're in your control or completely out of it, anything is possible. This brought me to this very moment right here as I'm filling this application out. I have the chance to help a family overcome an obstacle that has potentially brought immense pain.

What is a book you love?
My favorite book is The Thinking Body. This book was extremely helpful in showing me new ways to look at my body, posture, and movement. It brings a holistic and intuitive perspective of anatomy. The technical vocabulary is pretty demanding too.
-
How would other people describe you?
Those who know me best would describe me as extraverted, intuitive, creative, and empathic. They would tell me that I take great deal of pride and joy in guiding others to work together to improve themselves and their community. People are drawn to me because of my strong personality, therefore they would tell you that I radiate authenticity, concern, altruism. and genuineness.
-
Describe your own personality to us
To say the least, my inner child lives through me vicariously every single day. I would use the words altruistic, charismatic, compassionate, and resolute to describe who I am today. I'm a practical and down-to-earth person with a love of nature. I would like to describe my personality as being similar to an alchemist. I absolutely love to create things around me. I'm warm, forthright, and value being a helping hand.

Books you are currently reading
I currently am reading "The Thinking Body" by Mabel Elsworth Todd , "I Will Teach You To Be Rich" by Ramit Sethi, "Awaken Healing Light" by Mantak & Maneewan Chia, and "Accelerated Learning" by Ian Tuhovsky.

Who are you closest to in your family and why?
I'm definitely close to my father more than anyone in my family. Beyond being the epitome of a daddy's girl, my father has loved me without an precedent conditions needed. He has truly showed me what genuine love is. Not only has he showed me this, he truly showed me how to value who I am so that others had no choice but to either value me or lose their privilege of having me in their life. He is a model human being of what I aspire to be.
-
What was the defining moment that made you choose your field of study/career path?
To be completely transparent, there has not been one single moment that has fueled my desire to becoming a nurse. In actuality, my entire life is the reason I want to become a nurse. I've always had an inkling for helping people around me, even if they were complete strangers. The most rewarding aspect of being a nurse is the ability to connect with patients on an intimate level. Although I may meet my future patients during difficult times: facing health challenges or injuries, witnessing the moment of birth or the end of life—I get the opportunity to know my patients very quickly and have the privilege to play an important role in their lives.
-
If you could tell the intended parents who are considering you one thing, what would it be?
Whether you decide to choose me or another egg donor, please know that I genuinely am proud of you. I'm proud of your strength, please be gentle to yourself as I know this journey has not been an easy one. When your beautiful baby, be flexible with your parenting techniques, exude respect as they also are tiny little human beings with big emotions, have a reserve of never-ending patience, and love them unconditionally; love them freely with no hesitation.

Places you'd love to travel
I'm not really a fan of cold weather, so my dream vacation has to have warm weather by all means. With that being said it really doesn't matter exactly where on the globe the vacation is, as long as the sun is shining, and I'm able to be financially free enough to participate in any of the activities I desire on top of enjoying the delicious food!

What are your favorite words to live by?
Happiness is expensive, and I do not mean this in a monetary manner. Happiness requires self-love, patience, gratitude, and forgiveness just to name a few qualities. Once one masters these qualities, they obtain this currency that will allow them to afford all they truly desire in life.
-
Sports/Dance/Hobbies you enjoy
I definitely have a few hobbies under my belt. As funny as this may sound one of my hobbies is trying new restaurants; I actually have a notes tab on my phone where I have a list of restaurants that are organized by what type of food they offer that I cross out after I try their food. I recently adopted a new hobby where I'm becoming more and more involved in the outdoors, whether that be taking a walk on a trail or just sitting outside in my backyard. Being able to experience and explore covers the many hobbies that I truly have.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
After obtaining my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2024, I will practice in a Holistic Care setting. After establishing myself with patients and the medical environment, I will open my own medical facility in which I will take a mind-body-spirit-emotional approach to the practice of traditional nursing. A few surface-level personal goals I have for myself are extending my vocabulary, learning how to cook different dishes, practicing holistic treatments like herbal remedies and acupuncture, and of course, advancing myself in school. More personal goals that are beyond the surface level that I have for myself are finding ways to be more involved in my local community, discovering who I truly am, and overall being a good person on this Earth and hopefully, this will inspire others to do the same.
