Anything special you'd like to tell us about you?
I’ve always loved helping people so I’m eager to use my background in accounting to become a tax attorney and one-day work in politics. I love my sorority and all of the philanthropy that we do. Just yesterday we helped make and serve food with the organization More Than a Meal. It brought me so much joy interacting with some of the less fortunate members of my local community, while the pharmacy students gave free wellness checks.

Who are the most important people in your life?
My mom, sisters, and friends are the most important people in my life. Over the last few years I have really come to appreciate the value of family, which is why I’m so happy to help others grow theirs. Moving 8 hours away for college has been difficult since I don’t get a chance to see my mom and sisters as often as I would like. My two sisters and I have always been really close. I am so thankful for all of these strong women in my life. The girls in my sorority are what I will miss most about graduating undergrad this spring. From having mental breakdowns during final exam week to traveling with during school breaks, they are what get me through all of the countless sleepless nights up studying.

What are your special talents?
I have always been the type of person that likes to stay very busy. Growing up I played volleyball, softball, and basketball. My junior year our varsity softball team were district champions. I’ve missed playing competitively but continue to play through intramural sports at my university. Math has always been my favorite subject in school and something that came easy to me, so going to a University with a top ranked accounting school worked out really well. I miss the competitive nature of sports and have been lucky enough to be a part of an accounting team at my school. It is like a game and gave me a chance to network with a bunch of accounting firms.

What would you consider to your greatest strengths?
I was raised to never give up and really took this to heart. My relentless hard work and willingness to keep trying when I fail at something is what has gotten me this far in life. My greatest strength is my willpower and not being scared of failure. When my accounting classes became very difficult I persevered instead of settling for less and changing my major to something easier. I truly enjoy school and learning and one of the reasons why I chose a career in law and accounting is that they are both careers in which you are constantly learning more.

What is something you've accomplished in life that you are most proud of?
When I made a top score on the LSAT I was very proud of myself. I will be the first of my family to go to law school. My ex boyfriend is a third year law student and a few months ago when I told him I was going to apply to Baylor, he told me I wouldn’t get in since he didn’t. Once I did I felt so proud of myself for continuing and not giving up. It makes me happy to see how proud my parents are of my accomplishments. I like to always encourage my friends and sisters to push themselves harder and go after something that they really want. I persuaded one of my best friends to take the MCAT again after she didn’t do as well as she’d hoped, since being a doctor is something that she has always had her heart set on doing. We celebrated each others accomplishments by going to New Orleans for the weekend.

If you could tell the intended parents who are considering you one thing, what would it be?
I hope to help. My family is everything to me and I don’t know what I would do without their constant love and support. I love the idea of helping others have that same opportunity. I know how frustrating IVF can be and want to say how I truly believe that everything happens for a reason and this journey will be well worth it in the end. I am proud of my genetics and would love to do my part in helping you create a family. Best of luck with your IVF journey!

Sports/Dance/Hobbies you enjoy
I started playing basketball and softball when I was around 8 and picked up volleyball once I made my middle school team. Volleyball is my favorite to play but I was always better at softball. I used my height to my advantage as I was always one of the tallest in my class growing up. I have always loved to learn and currently am trying to become fluent in Spanish. It is a hobby that I know I will continue with once I finish school and have more free time. When I go home I always try to attend some sort of cooking or craft class with my younger sister.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
In 10 years I hope to be excelling in my career as a tax attorney. I plan on settling down in the Dallas area and hopefully getting married and starting my own family. I grew up in Dallas and it is important to me to be close to my family. I have two step brothers as well and love the idea of us all ending up in the DFW area. In 10 years I see myself having done a lot of traveling, and being fluent in at least two more languages. I want to eventually get involved in politics so by the time I’m 31 I see myself running for a position on the local school board or city council.

Impressions from Elevate
She is absolutely lovely, polite and intelligent. She is just finished her Bachelor’s in Accounting and is in Law School to become a Tax Attorney. You can tell she is focused and driven in her studies. She comes alive when speaking about her course load and the years of law school ahead. She knows exactly the career path she wants to be on, and is motivated and confident in it. I have no doubt she will find success. When you speak to her you notice her sparkling eyes the most. They are gorgeous. She also lovingly speaks of her friends and family - this is a person who loves and is loved.
