Why do you want to become an egg donor?
I'm an aunty to 3 nieces and one nephew, and they are the joy in my life, even on days they drive me crazy. I am grateful every day that my two sisters were able to create such perfect human beings. At 23 years old, the thought of having children feels like a fairly distant lifetime goal of mine, however, I do plan on having children when I feel ready. I recognize that the idea of when I get to choose to have children is an option for me and not always an option for others. I would love to give someone the chance to create their own family as I am one of 5 children, and having 4 siblings is the biggest blessing of my life.

Anything special you'd like to tell us about you?
While I am Hawaiian, I also speak Hawaiian language fluently. It might sound surprising, but less than 1% of the entire Hawaiian population can speak the language because between 1896 and 1986, Hawaiian language was banned from being used or taught in schools and government settings. Losing 90 years of language has stunted our language significantly, and I am proud that I come from a family of Hawaiian language speakers. Along with the language, our people are also critically endangered, which is a big part of my desire to become an egg donor and know that there will be more Hawaiians in the world.

Who are the most important people in your life?
The most important people in my life are easily my family members. I am so blessed that family, or ‘ohana, is a core value in my culture, because I was raised with so much love as a result of it. I have two loving parents, two older brothers, an older sister, a younger brother, a sister-in-law, a brother-in-law, three nieces, and one nephew. Along with them, my boyfriend and his family are my heart as well.
-
What are your special talents?
I love to sing and play the guitar and ‘ukulele.
-
What is the one change you wish to see in the world?
I wish people had more empathy for one another. The world would be better for it.
-
What would you consider to your greatest strengths?
I believe I have a gift of discernment and empathy. I feel very deeply and it allows me to understand my feelings as well as others very well.
-
What is your favorite dish to consume?
Being from Hawai‘i, I of course love a diverse plate. I love Japanese chicken katsu curry, and my mom’s homemade cold ginger chicken. I could also eat ahi poke every day for the rest of my life.
-
What is something you've accomplished in life that you are most proud of?
I’m proud of how much I’ve done in the big little life I’ve experienced so far. I can’t pinpoint one event, but I’m proud of the fact that I’ve always been comfortable venturing out of my comfort zone. From moving away from Hawai‘i to get my degree, studying abroad, joining pageantry, or becoming a flight attendant, my biggest accomplishment is the one I have yet to discover.

What is a book you love?
Real Relationships by Dr. Les and Leslie Parrott. This book explores the importance of the relationships we experience with not only a significant other, but with ourselves. It’s an honest read on what we could be doing to improve our ability to love ourselves and one another.
-
How would other people describe you?
I honestly think they would describe me as being pretty goofy or silly because I love to make others laugh. But it means a lot to me when people describe me as kind.
-
Describe your own personality to us
As loaded of a question this is, I believe I’m a kind and empathetic person. This however doesn’t mean I am perfect or sweet all the time, because I can definitely get moody. I am honest with others and myself, and it brings me the most joy to make others laugh. My parents always let me be exactly who I was, and so I am extremely goofy. I’m intelligent, but I’m not always smart. Math is my absolute weakness and it’s incredibly embarrassing to be 23 and still using my fingers to count. I am extremely passionate (sometimes too much for my own good), but I think it’s an important attribute to have in this world.
-
Who are you closest to in your family and why?
It would probably be my older sister. We are the only two girls in the family (beside my mom), and there is something so unique and special about sisterhood. She is the only person in my family I would get into a screaming match with but want to spend all my time hanging out with. She’s my bully and still my best friend.
-
What was the defining moment that made you choose your field of study/career path?
In 2019, I made the choice to study abroad in Cape Town, South Africa. Living on an island, it is so easy to be comfortable in our little isolated bubble in the Pacific. However, I knew if I never made the jump, I would’ve never given myself the opportunity to experience anything different from what I knew. When my term finished, I traveled to France, Italy, Spain, but most incredibly, Madagascar. My older brother who has always inspired me to be uncomfortable with comfortability was serving in the Peace Corps in Madagascar at the time, and being introduced to new cultures gave me the itch to spend my life doing it. As a flight attendant, I have the flexibility and privilege to do it as a living.

If you could tell the intended parents who are considering you one thing, what would it be?
All a child needs to be the best version of themselves is to be unconditionally loved and accepted. I have the best parents, and they are the reason why I love myself.
-
Places you'd love to travel
I would love to visit Switzerland one day, and I’m still waiting to get the call to work a Japan flight.

What are your favorite words to live by?
"Whether you think you can or you can't, you're always right." – Henry Ford

Sports/Dance/Hobbies you enjoy

I hope in ten years, I will have children of my own and own a home in Hawai‘i.
