Why do you want to become an egg donor?
Becoming a mother at some point is the most important thing to me. I want to help someone who shares that desire, and is possibly struggling in the process, have a happy, healthy baby.
-
Anything special you'd like to tell us about you?
I've always found the most joy in helping others. If you find that I'm the right fit for you, please know that I have considered donation extensively and am not beginning this process on a whim. Who are the most important people in your life?
The most important person in my life is my mother, who raised me by herself as a single mom. For the majority of my life it was always just the two of us. She has taught me everything I know, but most importantly, how to listen to others and to be impeccable with your word. I have three little sisters from my father's second marriage. I'm significantly older than they are, so I fall in the in between role of sister and parent with them. I absolutely adore them and the light and silliness they've brought to my life. I went to a very big all-girl Catholic high school, and have a giant group of girlfriends to prove it. We have been friends for over ten years now and I cannot imagine who or where I would be without each of them.
-
What are your special talents?
I can draw and paint; I sell my paintings in local boutiques in NOLA. I am very good at yoga and have been practicing Bikram for four years now. I danced (ballet, jazz, modern, hip hop) competitively when I was young until I quit to focus on student council. I am just generally crafty and also have great handwriting.
-
What is the one change you wish to see in the world?
A complete remodel of the United States healthcare system. Of course there are many things I wish were different in the world, but as a nurse, I am confronted with the inadequacies of this system daily.
-
What would you consider to your greatest strengths?
I think my greatest strength is that I can truly get along with anyone. I'm very easygoing and find it easy to make friends. I'm also a hard worker. I've had a job since the day I turned fifteen, even working two jobs through nursing school.
-
What is your favorite dish to consume?
This is the hardest question on here! I love food, I eat everything. My favorites are pasta, ribs, crawfish, fish tacos, fried chicken, Indian food, and I love a beautiful arugula salad. Basically anything except American cheese and hardboiled eggs.
-
What is something you've accomplished in life that you are most proud of?
I moved to New York City right after passing my nursing boards in February 2020. My very first nursing job was on a COVID unit in Brooklyn in the height of the pandemic. I was given three days of orientation (a new nurse normally gets three months), then assigned over ten patients a shift. It was the most stressful and terrifying situation I have ever endured. Though it was a true baptism by fire, I feel proud that I was able to set my own anxieties aside and focus on patient care.

What is a book you love?
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
-
How would other people describe you?
I believe myself to be kind, friendly, and outgoing. I've always found it easy to make friends and I find that most people I meet seem to like me. I don't get my feelings hurt by others easily. Most of my emotional battles come from being too hard on myself. When I am hurt by others I really don't react in the moment. I definitely require a little buffering time to process my emotions. I love to be around people but also require a good deal of alone time. I love to laugh and cut up with my friends. I like to clean and fold clothes. Sometimes things fly out of my mouth before I can filter them, sometimes funny, sometimes not--but I'm good at acknowledging when I'm wrong. I'm open minded and good at apologizing. I'm definitely a water baby, I love swimming and the ocean. I prefer to be outside but only if there are no mosquitos. I love animals. I'm athletic and strong. When I find something I really like, I go all in and learn every detail about whatever it is (book series, true crime case, breed of dog etc.) I love rollercoasters and heights but have a phobia of frogs. I have a good memory. I wake up early and go to sleep early. Most importantly though, I will do anything for my friends.

Who are you closest to in your family and why?
I am closest to my mother since I spent the majority of my childhood with her as my primary caregiver. I am also extremely close to my step mother. My dad lived in another state when I was little. I would visit in the summers but obviously didn't see him on a daily basis. My dad is a wonderful person and a great dad, we just don't speak the same language. At times it was difficult for me to understand him and took an emotional toll on me throughout my childhood. My stepmom has been my bridge to understanding him and maintaining a healthy relationship. She is also just very cool and caring, as well as a great mother and social worker.
-
What was the defining moment that made you choose your field of study/career path?
My stepmom allowed me to be in the delivery room during all my sisters's births. I knew from the first one that I wanted to be a labor and delivery nurse. It was such a special experience and I just knew I wanted to feel that magic every day. I worked as a nurse tech in L&D during school and always wanted to specialize, but COVID has rerouted me a bit. I do plan to make it back to L&D one day!
-
If you could tell the intended parents who are considering you one thing, what would it be?
I would like the intended parents to know that I am trustworthy. The only thing I have ever really, really wanted is to be a mom. I understand how important and central this is to you. I sincerely hope I am able to help you become parents.

-
Sports/Dance/Hobbies you enjoy
I never played sports, but both my dad and grandfather were professional football players in the NFL; I danced competitively; I can draw; I like to workout, swim, read, play with my dog, and watch good movies.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
I hope to be married with my own children working as a labor and delivery nurse.
