Why do you want to become an egg donor?
To be involved in the priceless gift of helping others create a family. Knowing that I can be a crucial step in hopeful parents reaching their goal of parenthood, makes the process an incredibly moving experience for me. It will be an experience that will allow me to be a part of something much bigger than myself; connecting to people I might never know.

Anything special you'd like to tell us about you?
I lived in Japan for four years with my husband and traveled all over Asia. So far my favorite place to travel to is Thailand. I love seeing the world and experiencing all the beauty and culture is has to offer. I love the outdoors! I enjoy hiking, paddle boarding, riding four-wheelers, kayaking, fishing, and camping with friends and family. I attend a yoga class at my local farmers market every weekend. I love going to and participating in karaoke nights and adult rolling skating nights. I’ve traveled all over the US and have been to almost every national park and monument. I am also certified in scuba diving!

Are you currently working? If so where and in what capacity?
I currently work as an orthodontist assistant. My career entails sterilizing dental equipment before and after each use, educating patients about how they can maintain their oral health at home, keeping track of patient progress using records, organizing schedules for patients by setting appointments, taking and processing X-rays, and performing any minor or major adjustments. These often include putting on and taking off braces, replacement or cutting of wires, refitting bands on braces, and tightening of corrective coils.

Who are the most important people in your life?
My husband, family, friends/coworkers, and God. And myself! I like to think when we take care of ourselves, we have even more to give to others. I surround myself with people in my life who believe in me and love me. They are people who challenge me to be better and achieve more. I know I can turn to these people for advice and guidance as I navigate through life.

What is the one change you wish to see in the world?
That everyone lived by the “Golden Rule.” Being nice to others costs nothing and it is one of the most important things one can do to spread happiness, love, and peace. We should always treat people the way you wish to be treated.

I am ambitious and driven. Highly organized, friendly/social, a natural leader, excellent communicator, great creative skills, motivated, enthusiastic, detail oriented, hard working, adventurous, good at multi tasking, witty, trustworthy, loyal.

I love all food! But I always find myself craving carne asada (steak) tacos. My mother in law is from Mexico and she makes the best tacos.
-
What is something you've accomplished in life that you are most proud of?
I am most proud of the time I ran a full marathon and beat my personal record time. I am also very proud of myself for living out of the country for four years. Putting myself out of my comfort zone helped me grow in ways I never thought I could.

What is a book you love?
“Beneath a Scarlet Sky”. By Mark T. Sullivan. It’s based on a true story of a forgotten war hero. I enjoy how the author shows the tragedy of war, and how it can change the way a person sees life.
-
How would other people describe you?
People would say that I am organized, considerate, and dependable. My friends always joke that I’m the “mom” of the group. When we go on trips, big or small, I have a plan in place and supplies ready for every eventuality. Even when it’s just a hike, I’m the person who brings sandwiches, has all the trails mapped out with the best scenic spots, and has an extra pair of socks in case anyone steps in water.

Describe your own personality to us
I would describe my personality as very outgoing and social with a great sense of humor. I am easy to talk to and a good listener. I understand people and I make friends very easily. I enjoy being alone reading books and gardening but I also enjoy being in social settings, I thrive around people. I am always willing to help anyone in need and when I’m in, I’m all in. I would also say that I am a fast learner. I always want to be improving or learning something new. I have good leadership qualities and I am confident of myself. I’m able to keep a calm and leave head whenever I am in situations of stress. I consider myself someone who can relate to anyone and any culture and background m. It allows me to make very personal connections with everyone I meet.

Who are you closest to in your family and why?
I am actually very close to everyone in my family. But in different ways. I am the oldest of four, I have two brothers and one sister. The age difference between me and my sister is 14 years but you’d never know because of how close we are. I’ve always joked that she’s my baby and not my mom’s. We’ve always shared a bedroom together since she as born. I’d take her out of her crib every time she cried to sleep with me in my bed each night. And she’d continue to climb in my bed with me until I got married and moved out. My youngest brother and I have become really close these last few years because he started going to the gym with me every day. We have similar goofy personalities and love being around each other to make each other laugh. We always joke about being the same person in different bodies. My other brother and I are 16 months apart so we’ve always been close, almost like twins. Some of my favorite memories with him are going through high school together. Playing the same sports, going to school dances, having the same group of friends, etc. And my parents have always been my best friends and my biggest supporters. They’ve never missed a sports game, music recital, or school awards/events. I even work with my mom so we get so see each other every day and sometimes go out to lunch.

What was the defining moment that made you choose your field of study/career path?
I always knew I wanted to work with people and when I was given the opportunity to become certified in Orthodontics, I quickly fell in love with the fact that I had the ability to help people have healthier and more confident smiles. I am so grateful to have a career where I look forward to going to every day.
-
If you could tell the intended parents who are considering you one thing, what would it be?
I would feel very honored and appreciate you if you allowed me to be a part of your journey. I am sure this hasn’t been a quick or easy one to follow. I hope that this egg donation is successful for you and your family and I hope that you will be holding your baby soon.

Places you'd love to travel
I’d like to travel all over Europe, especially Italy, Switzerland, and Greece. And my dream is to go to Egypt to see the pyramids!
-
What are your favorite words to live by?
Like Gandhi said: “Be the change you want to see in this world.” Sometimes we’re so focused on looking for a way to make this world a better place without realizing that change starts from within. The problems exist because of us! If only each and every individual in this wold changed themselves or at least tried to be a better person, the change is inevitable.

Sports/Dance/Hobbies you enjoy
I enjoy scuba diving, yoga, going to the gym, camping/backpacking, gardening, and reading.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
In ten years I know I want the basic things of life, love, family, and happiness and the opportunity to pursue my dreams. I hope to grow in my career, grow my family, and check off dozens of places around the world on my list to visit.
