Why do you want to become an egg donor?
Initially, I began looking into egg donation because I motivated by the fact that I would be able to help families who are unable to achieve pregnancy on their own. As an experienced donor, I am even more inspired by the various stories I’ve heard from families who have been able to complete their families with the help they received from an egg donor. I've learned how complex and difficult the journey to complete one's family can be, and find myself in a fortunate position to be able to donate, especially having successful and easy donation experiences in the past.Coming from my own tight-knit family background, I place a high value on having and maintaining close family relationships, but realize that not everyone gets this opportunity. I am grateful for the chance to help others achieve their goal of having a family, and hope that others will have the chance to have a strong bond like I’ve been lucky to have with my own family.

Anything special you'd like to tell us about you?
The past few years of my life have been very academically oriented, and I'm extremely blessed to have seen success in my academic endeavors. I have always been well rounded in all areas of my life, from school, activities, and family & friends. I am well read and interested in many topics, and have a deep love for learning. I've always enjoyed helping others, and have intertwined my interest in service to others in my passion about education and family. I am extremely dedicated to helping others have the same opportunities I've had in both of those areas.

Who are the most important people in your life?
My parents: I am blessed to have always had a strong relationship with my parents. Growing up, I never felt pressured or worried about anything related to school or activities because my parents helped me to choose what would be best for me. Furthermore, my parents have always been positive and supportive of what I do, while still allowing me to make mistakes and grow. My parents have always trusted my judgement and treated me maturely, even from a young age, which contributed a lot to my own success and independence. We have a great relationship and now that I am on my own, I want to do anything I can to ensure they live comfortably and stress-free. My sister: My sister is less than two years younger than I am, and we have always been incredibly close. Growing up, we did all of our activities together and shared many of the same interests. As we grew older, aside from typical sibling arguments, we stayed extremely close and still were very similar despite trying to be independent from each other. We ended up pursuing similar activities and leadership roles in college, lived together in an apartment my last two years of undergrad, and have taken many vacations after starting our careers. She and I talk daily over, with longer conversation every week or so, and are always updating each other about what's going on in our lives and our work. My maternal grandparents: My maternal grandparents raised their family in a foreign country and then later moved all their children to the United States when their youngest children were old enough to move. They made many sacrifices, including being apart from each other and from their children, as they made the move to the United States, but always put their family first. Even though my grandparents were already much older than the average grandparent when I was born, I was lucky enough to spend a lot of time with them and have many of my earliest memories including them.

What are your special talents?
I was identified as academically gifted at age 6 and have always excelled in school. I also did very well at most activities I tried: I competed in cheer & gymnastics, played soccer competitively, played piano, sang and competed with my school choir. I was elected or appointed to many different student leadership positions throughout my education through college. Overall, I've been versatile and flexible across academics, leadership, sports, musical skills, social awareness, and intellect.

Describe your own personality to us
My personality is very well rounded. I've always been very involved in things that I care deeply about: family/friends, education, and leadership. While I am naturally more introverted, I’ve become comfortable with how I fit into various groups (in school, work, & socially) and I’ve grown into my own style of leadership that fits well with my personality and way of thinking. I try to be respectful and caring about others, and try to view difficult or frustrating situations from others’ point of view before getting set in one way of thinking. As I've gotten older, I’ve become very independent and stable in my own academic career and adult life, but I still remain extremely family oriented and value my relationships with those close to me. I am always searching for ways that I can benefit someone other than myself – most often my own family, as I really want to continue helping them live a much easier and more comfortable life. I place high value on having positive experiences and just enjoying time with those I care about. Even during the busy and crazy periods of time, I try to slow down, look at things optimistically, and make sure things remain balanced in my life.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Professionally, I hope to be a a faculty member or researcher at an elite university or employed by an external organization doing research or consulting for educational institutions. Additionally, I would like to mentor and work with upcoming professionals and successful students at the university to help achieve their goals and make the most of their experiences. I also hope to have additional opportunities to be involved in various institutions and serve in a volunteer capacity, including being a donor, an alumni leader and/or a Board member. One of my main goals since college has been to assist my parents financially, so I hope to make significant contributions to paying off my parent's mortgage on our family home and help finance much needed repairs and updates to the home. Personally, I plan to take time over the next 10 years to learn and study subjects that I have always found interesting but never explored during my education, such as cultures and languages, medicine, and law. I also hope to be living in a happy, relaxed marriage with healthy, active children.
